We went and met Randy at the airport to fly up to Auburn to meet Shane for brunch.
It took us a while to get out of Lincoln due to traffic - when it's pretty windy things get a little hectic, as the downwind leg is fast, but then it takes people forever to take off and get out of the way :o)
At Auburn it was also pretty busy, and it didn't help that there was a guy who's first radio call was when he turned downwind - I thought he was a totally different plane. Still, extending my downwind into the depths of beyond made everything work out in the end.
After brunch, we went and did the monthly lake fly-by. It's still pretty low, even after the recent rain.
There were some interesting people doing things wrong at Lincoln when we got there - a guy circled down from 5,000' directly over the runway, for example. Still, we landed without any unnecessary drama.
