I started the day pulling out all of the aircraft parts that Russ brought up that I don't need, and loading them in to the van - there's a guy at the airport who's expressed interest in some parts. I then started cutting the extra bit off one of the wings until I managed to set my rotary tool on fire (I was wearing gloves, so I didn't realise how hot it was getting). It goes through the aluminium really well, but struggles a bit with the steel ribs. Ah well, at least I'll be able to see what I'm doing to trim the extra parts off once I'm in there.
Jim was having a showing of his train photos at a local brewery, so we went over to take a look - the prints on aluminium are an interesting idea.
Before it got dark, we went out and hammered in some fence supports to hold up the fence while we figure out what to do about it. Apparently Carl's OK with splitting the cost of replacing the fence, so when we're feeling strong, we'll look in to that.
